One evening when Sam was pretty little... maybe two, at the very most, he was watching his daddy make out a few bills and balance the checkbook...
Sam was always a very curious little guy and was ALWAYS intrigued with what his daddy was doing. He was as full of questions as ever, with a lot of "what you doin'?"s and "why?"s. He was very fascinated with the calculator his daddy was using that evening. He wanted to use it, too. The rest of the conversation went something like this:
Daddy: If you can say it, then you can have it.
Sam: OK, What is it?
Daddy: A calculator
Sam: Calculamatator!!
Daddy: OK... close enough!!
"Clculamatator" became another "Sam-ism" that we still use to this day...
I remember my little Sam so much. He was precious and always will be. I remember riding 7 hours to get to Wichita Falls; One of many road trips on two wheels. Visited with family but Sam came to visit as usual. Put him on my bike and the look in his eyes will always be with me. I was and always will be his motorcycle man. And he will always be my buddy. Whether on my bike or in a car or anywhere; Samuel is my bud! Love ya buddy! And I miss you.
